Content
At present time, there is an increasing impetus to use laparoscopic surgery (LS) or minimally invasive surgery for the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Empirical evidence, however, has demostrated an unequal access to LS amongst the different types of patients' health insurance schemes(i.e. CSMBS, UC) in Thailand. Therefore, this study aims to assess equity for the laparoscopic surgery approach and to evaluate the economic aspect and budgertary impact of laparoscopic surgery in Thailand's health system.
