Biography

Kumaree Pachanee Researcher of Foundation for Health Technology Assessment and Policy Evaluation (2020–Present)
Kumaree holds a master’s degree in political economy and governance, (Political Science), from Burapha University. Since 2010, she has played a central role in research project management and policy research related to the development of health benefit packages under the Universal Health Coverage (UHC) system in Thailand, in close collaboration with the National Health Security Office (NHSO).
Her work supports evidence-based decision-making by evaluating the cost-effectiveness and budget impact of health interventions and technologies. Findings from her research when demonstrating that certain health interventions or technologies are cost-effective and have an acceptable budget impact are submitted to the Subcommittee and then to the National Health Security Board. Upon approval, these interventions are integrated into the UHC benefit package, contributing to equitable access to essential health services for all Thai citizens.
